Please join me in thanking God for protecting my son and his friend yesterday.
I find it very ironic that as my oldest left the house yesterday to go to band practice, I talked with him about the importance of safe driving and what would happen if he caused an accident. Our community seems to be very 'sue' happy. We have seen friends who have lost much over 'accidents.'
Less than two hours later a women ran a stop sign as my son was a passenger in his friends car and they were driving (in one of those very small cars) thru the same intersection. They slammed into her SUV causing her car to roll and overturn. The woman went to the hospital in an ambulance. The boys walked away, but the cars were totaled.
Old One says he is fine, but I worry. He down plays everything. In fact, never even called us. He just told us this morning.
And my first thoughts after hearing he and his friend were not seriously injured were 'Thanks be to God for his protection."

Praise God. My heart skipped a beat reading this.
Oh My Goodness, That shows us how very precious life is... We never know from one minute to the next what will happen. I'm glad your son is fine... Yipes--it could have been so different.
Yes---thank God for faith... We do continue to sing of God's strength --even in times of trouble.
Hugs,
Betsy

Glad they weren't hurt! My son was in a car accident in Jan of 2008. I have never been the same since. It was quite a scary time! and still I worry constantly about their (son and daughter) safety.
Thanks the Lord for His protection! I've been rear-ended twice. 1st time stopped for a red light and the lady behind me decided to drive through and pushed us into the intersection. Thank God there was no cross traffic! 2nd time - as passenger - waiting patiently to merge and the truck behind us wanted to roar right through. Each time I felt fine immediately afterwards and then a day and even two later the adrenaline wore off and I felt the horrible pain in my upper back and neck and my wrist where I braced myself. Best your son get to the doctor for a check up and to have documentation - just in case!!
All the best to you all!
