According to Wikipedia - Sophocles was the second of 3 ancient Greek Tragedians whose work has survived. A tragedian (one who writes a tragedy), writes in a form that is based on human suffering, that offers it's audience pleasure.

How tragic indeed for anyone to believe that a human being is mere shadow and breath. That breath was the breath of God, breathed into a creation that was made in the image of God, by God.

Genesis 2:7 The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
