Can't believe I posted on the wrong site today. It has been a rough one -

A former student (I actually only taught her for part of a year) who is the same age as my Young One (they were in the same classes at the Middle School when she was able to be in school) went home to be with the Lord this morning. She fought for 6 years with Neuroblastoma - a devastating cancer with no cure. Please pray for her family and friends. it's going to be a tough road ahead for them.

Please join me in thanking God for protecting my son and his friend yesterday.

I find it very ironic that as my oldest left the house yesterday to go to band practice, I talked with him about the importance of safe driving and what would happen if he caused an accident. Our community seems to be very 'sue' happy. We have seen friends who have lost much over 'accidents.'

Less than two hours later a women ran a stop sign as my son was a passenger in his friends car and they were driving (in one of those very small cars) thru the same intersection. They slammed into her SUV causing her car to roll and overturn. The woman went to the hospital in an ambulance. The boys walked away, but the cars were totaled.

Old One says he is fine, but I worry. He down plays everything. In fact, never even called us. He just told us this morning.

And my first thoughts after hearing he and his friend were not seriously injured were 'Thanks be to God for his protection."
